This month it is the turn of Rick Clark, an up an coming artist from Lancaster, England.
A former county councillor and probation worker, Rick Clark gave up the office/mortgage lifestyle when it occurred to him that he hadn't done anything creative for over a decade. Now partially disabled, Rick finds his computer invaluable as his main creative outlet, although he does have five children which suggests other outlets are available too.
For those with an interest in such matters, he works on a 486/66 with 12Mb and a measly 540Mb hard drive. Because of the latter limitation he always saves his files as JPG's. He also has a flatbed scanner and colour printer. A man favoured by the gods, he owns or has access to PhotoShop 3.04, CorelDraw5, PhotoStudio and PaintShopPro plus an appalling amount of plug-ins. The June/July 1997 edition of Computer Arts magazine carried a couple of his pictures in their Exposure section.
Rick is a member of a co-operative that runs a radical bookshop in Lancaster (Lancashire, England) and is soon to open a workshop to (among other things) transfer computer generated artwork on to large canvasses and screens.
